Benchmarking Philosophy

Benchmarking should enable engineering faculties and schools to identify their performance against Engineering Futures 2035 recommendations. This might involve evaluation of performance against given standards and or in comparison to other engineering faculties and schools. Benchmarking is designed to make standards explicit, enable evaluation and self-driven improvement. 

Wherever possible, benchmarking by the EFI will:

• use existing data (e.g. from Handbooks, EA reports etc.)
• support self-determining actions.
