This is an early stage discovery project seeking AI-enabled operational solutions to automatically count finished extrusion pieces in production stillages, reducing reliance on human labor and minimising errors. An engineer with the industry partner will provide Q & A sessions as well as site and or virtual site tours.

Ideally suited for 3rd year students or above from mechatronic, mechanical and sofware disciplines. Students must have knowledge of image recognition AI solutions, Python, Django and SQL programming tools.
