An early-mid stage discovery project aimed at finding AI-enabled operational solutions to automatically trace the location of dies around factory stations, preventing the misplacement of extrusion dies and reducing reliance on human memory and errors. The intention is to automate the die retrieval process using robotic solutions. The industry partner will provide weekly Q & A sessions and possible site or virtual tours. Suited to students in 3rd year or above from electrical, mechatronic, mechanical, chemical or software disciplines. Software students must be familiar with Python, Django and SQL programming.
